Terms

What Nicole is
Nicole is software that researches YouTube niches and generates video content from that research, then uploads it to a channel you control. It is in private beta: features change, things break, and access is limited. Using it means accepting these terms.
Your content is yours
Everything the pipeline produces for you, from titles and scripts to thumbnails, audio and video, is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to use it, beyond what is technically required to store it and hand it back to you.
We may not be able to give you exclusivity over it. Generated output is not automatically unique, and the models involved may produce similar work for someone else. Whether a given piece of output is protectable at all depends on where you live.
What you are responsible for
- Everything published to your channel. Review before you publish. The app lets you hold uploads private for exactly this reason.
- Complying with YouTube's terms and its policies on automated, repetitive and mass-produced content. Nicole can produce a lot of videos quickly; that is your risk to manage, not ours.
- Not using it to impersonate anyone, to infringe copyright, or to produce content that is illegal where you are.
- The costs and terms of the provider accounts you connect. You are billed by them directly.
- Keeping your own account secure.
What we are responsible for
Running the service with reasonable care, storing your credentials encrypted, keeping your data scoped to your account, and telling you honestly when something has failed.
We are not responsible for what a generation model produces, for a channel being struck or removed, for a provider outage, or for revenue you did or did not make. The service is provided as-is, without warranty, and our liability is limited to what you have paid us, which during the beta is nothing.
Acceptable use
Do not use Nicole to generate content that harasses, defames, deceives about identity, sexualises minors, or breaks the law. Do not attempt to read other accounts' data or to use the service to attack anyone's infrastructure. We will suspend accounts that do, without notice where the harm is ongoing.
Ending it
You can stop using Nicole and delete your account at any time. We can end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop running the service. In that case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export what is yours.
Changes
These terms will change as the product does. Material changes will be announced to the email on your account before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
